Major construction on Stage 2 of the Yan Yean Road Upgrade is now underway in Melbourne’s outer north-east.
Work has started on upgraded intersections, a new walking and cycling path, and extra lanes in each direction between Kurrak and Bridge Inn roads. Traffic lights will also be installed at the Activity Way intersection.
Activity Way will close from early November until late December, but Yan Yean Road will remain open.
Local shops will be accessible via Bridge Inn Road while the nearby service station can be accessed from Yan Yean Road.
The first two intersection upgrades are due to be completed in early 2027.
