The Bridge Inn Road Upgrade team visited 3 local kindergartens recently to tell them about the vital work the project is doing in their community.
Our project team called in on Kiddy Palace Learning Centre in Mernda, Doreen’s MCM Early Years Hub and Storey House Early Learning, adding a touch of construction to the children’s busy days.
Getting into the spirit of ‘show and tell’, our team brought one of the telehandlers we’re using on the project, giving the children a demonstration of its impressive boom lift.
The children looked like they were part of the project team as they donned hi-vis vests to take part in construction-themed activities and learn how to build a road.
Major works on the upgrade started in August. The Bridge Inn Road Upgrade will add additional lanes in each direction between Plenty Road, Mernda and Yan Yean Road, Doreen, improving traffic flow and travel times for the more than 17,000 drivers who rely on the road every day.
The Bridge Inn Road Upgrade will be completed by 2025.
