Local shops and restaurants remain open as we build Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) East – and there are lots of free, family-friendly events to enjoy in Glen Waverley and Clayton through December.
They will include live performances, music, face painters and locally-purchased prizes – even Santa will be stopping by.
They’re also an opportunity to learn about SRL and works happening your local area, while supporting traders this holiday season.
Glen Waverley events
Where: Glen Waverley Station and Kingsway
When: Wednesday 3 December, 3.30pm to 5.30pm
Pop-up sessions will be held at Glen Waverley Station and Kingsway
Where: Kingsway shopping precinct
When: Thursday 4 December until Christmas. Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, 5pm to 8pm
Enjoy live circus performers, Santa and elves roaming the Kingsway shopping precinct as part of this joint initiative with the Glen Waverley Traders Association
Clayton events
Where: Clayton Station
When: Saturday 6 December, 10am to midday
Free professional Santa photos will be on offer at the new community space next to Clayton Station
