Community groups in Sunbury and Bulla are set to benefit with a new fund to support local projects during construction of the West Gate Tunnel.
The $2 million Sunbury & Bulla Neighbourhood Fund has been established by the Victorian Government.
Funding will be offered in two components – grants and partnerships – and allows not-for-profit groups access to money for projects that bring benefits to the area and the people that live there.
Grants will provide up to $50,000 funding for community-led initiatives such as one-off projects and events. Partnerships will provide over $50,000 for improvements to local sporting and recreation facilities, local environments, and other initiatives supporting the building of community and participation.
