Craigieburn Road Upgrade - Art Trail - Local Artists Expressions of Interest

MRPV and its contractor, Fulton Hogan, are upgrading Craigieburn Road to improve traffic flow and travel times as well as to provide better access and connections to homes, schools, businesses, and services. The Craigieburn Road Upgrade project will also make it easier and safer to walk and cycle around the local area and lower the risk and severity of crashes by adding safety barriers.

As part of the road upgrade, MRPV is partnering with Fulton Hogan, Hume City Council and the Department of Transport and Planning to showcase local art and create a vibrant art trail using traffic signal cabinets installed at key intersections along Craigieburn Road. The aim of the art project is to enhance the visual amenity of the local area along this important arterial road that connects the community. The project also aims to enhance community pride through the creation of a colourful artwork trail.

The project will involve installing artwork created by local artists on traffic signal cabinets at some key intersections along Craigieburn Road. Each piece of public art on the traffic signal cabinets will tell the story of ‘What makes Craigieburn unique’ (the project theme). The artwork will also celebrate one of the following sub-themes; community, connection, travel, history, culture, diversity, environment, nature or sustainability.

Legacy Art Trail

Artists are asked to express their interest in being part of the art trail by providing examples of previous work or concepts for artwork they’d like to submit, and to answer a couple of short questions about their proposal/designs.

To apply, artists will be required to respond within the EOI period. Shortlisted artists will then be invited and be paid a fee to create or further develop designs for consideration.

Final designs submitted by shortlisted artists will be assessed by a Panel and successful designs will be digitised onto a vinyl wrap which will be applied to the traffic signal cabinets.

The location of each traffic signal cabinet is outdoors and will be seen by passing motorists, pedestrians and cyclists. The signal cabinet boxes are relatively well lit by street lighting. Please note, there will be no specific lighting on the traffic signal cabinets at each location (see artwork brief for more information).

Terms and conditions

Eligibility

The EOI is open to all Victorian residents; applicants under the age of 18 will need parental consent to enter.
The following are ineligible to enter: an employee, contracted staff or service providers of MTIA, Department of Transport and Planning, Hume City Council and Fulton Hogan; or the spouse, de facto spouse, parent, child or sibling of an ineligible employee, contracted staff or service provider.

Conditions of entry

It is a condition of entering the EOI that applicants agree:
1. to the collection of their personal information and the holding of that information in MRPV’s database for the purpose of this EOI; and
2. to MRPV using the applicant’s name, design stories and image if successful for promotion of the art trail and in media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting the Project (including any outcome)
There is no entry or participation cost for applicants to participate in the EOI.
An incomplete, indecipherable or illegible Application will be deemed invalid.
By submitting artwork applicants acknowledge there is no payment or compensation payable unless advised in writing of the specific designs that are successful

Selection of designs

Following the EOI closing date, artists will be shortlisted by the Assessment panel.
Shortlisted artists will be invited to submit up to three designs within a three-week period for final assessment/consideration.
The Assessment panel will then evaluate the submitted designs, and MRPV will, in its absolute discretion, select successful artwork for installation on the signal cabinets and inclusion in the public art trail.
Written notification will be provided to each successful applicant advising which of their design(s) have been selected for the Project.
The decision of MRPV shall be final and no correspondence will be entered into except as provided in these EOI Terms and Conditions.

General

MRPV reserves the right to cancel all or any part of the EOI at any time.
MRPV reserves the right, at any time, to
1. verify the validity of Applications and applicants (including an applicant’s identity, age and place of residence); and
2. disqualify any applicant who:
  1. submits an Application or design that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions; or
  2. tampers with the Application process.
Any additional expenses incurred by applicants other than those outlined in these Terms and Conditions, are the responsibility of the applicant.
MRPV accepts no responsibility whatsoever for late, misplaced, lost or ineligible Applications. MRPV will not be liable for any loss or damages whatsoever (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the EOI, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

Privacy

Personal information collected, used and disclosed in connection with the EOI is subject to MRPV’s Privacy Policy.

Craigieburn Road Upgrade Project - Open for Business Customer Incentive Promotion Expression of Interest

Terms and Conditions

The Craigieburn Road Upgrade Project Open for Business Customers Incentive is being compiled and distributed by and on behalf of The State of Victoria, through the Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority (VIDA), Level 25, 180 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne ABN 69 981 208 782, (Promoter). Select businesses will be participating in the incentive (Trader/s). Traders may elect at their own choosing to offer a promotion, coupon or other similar discount (Special Offer) as part of their participation in the incentive covering the Craigieburn Road Upgrade Project and surrounding areas (Customer Incentive Promotion).

The Trader agrees as follows:

There is no entry or participation fee for the Customer Incentive Promotion.
The right to participate in the Customer Incentive Promotion will be offered to businesses in the vicinity of the Craigieburn Road Upgrade project (Project). Any other business within that geographical location can request that they be added to the Trader Directory by the Promoter. The granting or refusal of such a request will be at the Promoter’s discretion.
1. cancel all or any part of the Customer Incentive Promotion at its sole discretion;
2. refuse to include any Trader in the Customer Incentive Promotion; and
3. refuse to include, or refuse terms of, a Special Offer provided by a Trader.

The Promoter is not responsible for the condition/quality of the Customer Incentive Promotion.
The Promoter is not responsible for the condition/quality of any Special Offer or other promotion offered by a Trader as part of the Customer Incentive Promotion.
The Promoter will not be liable for any loss or damages whatsoever (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the Customer Incentive Promotion or Special Offer, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
The Trader acknowledges and agrees that the Promoter has not made any representation or warranties in relation to the Customer Incentive Promotion and the Promoter does not warrant that the information, statements and any representations in the Customer Incentive Promotion or the letter to the Traders is correct and without errors or omissions.
The Promoter’s inclusion of a Trader in the Customer Incentive Promotion does not mean that the Promoter in any way warrants or makes any representations as to the feasibility of, or assumes responsibility for, or has any obligations in relation to, the implementation of the Special Offer.
The Trader acknowledges and agrees that it has no claim, proceeding, cause of action, action, demand or suit against the Promoter and, to the extent permitted by law, releases the Promoter from any claim, proceeding, cause of action, action, demand or suit arising out of or in connection with the Customer Incentive Promotion.
The Trader grants (or must procure the grant) to the Promoter of an irrevocable, royalty-free, perpetual and assignable licence (including the right to sublicense) to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, develop, communicate to the public or otherwise exploit any material provided in relation to the Customer Incentive Promotion for the purpose of the Customer Incentive Promotion.
The Trader acknowledges and accepts that the Promoter has an absolute and unfettered discretion to:

Epping Road Upgrade – Voucher Giveaway

Major Road Projects Victoria (MRPV) is committed to supporting local traders.

We understand that when we support local businesses, we are not only supporting the local economy but also assisting the local community to thrive.

The promotion's purpose is to encourage locals to continue buying products and services locally during the works to upgrade the Epping Road and Hayston Boulevard intersection.

The Promotion is being run on behalf of the State of Victoria, through Major Road Projects Victoria, a division of the Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority, an administrative office in relation to the Department of Transport and Planning, Level 25, 180 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne ABN 69 981 208 782.

Terms and Conditions

There is no entry or participation cost for customers to participate in the Promotion.
The invitation to participate in the Promotion will be offered to the local businesses listed in proximity to the Epping Road Upgrade project area. Any other business within that geographical area can request that they be added to the Promotion by MRPV. The granting or refusal of such a request will be at MRPV’s sole discretion.
The Promotion commences from 6:00am Thursday 8 August 2024 and concludes 11:59pm Thursday 31 October 2024 during which time the vouchers can be redeemed at the Participating Stores.
The voucher is equivalent to a discount on the usual cost of the goods offered by the Participating Stores and is valid only at the Participating Stores named on the voucher.
Vouchers are redeemable in store and in person only. Vouchers must be handed over at point of sale to receive the $20 discount.
Only 1 Voucher per transaction may be redeemed, and if the full amount of Voucher is not used, the balance amount on the Voucher after a transaction is forfeited.
The Voucher cannot be redeemed for cash, cannot be redeemed for the purchase of alcohol, fuel, tobacco, phone cards, lottery tickets or gift cards or used in any online purchase.
Vouchers must not be duplicated.
There is no minimum spend required for the Voucher to be used.
The voucher cannot be used by employees or family members of the Participating Stores.
MRPV and the Participating Stores reserve the right to cancel or refuse to honour a Voucher at their absolute and sole discretion.
MRPV reserves the right to cancel all or any part of the Promotion at any time.
MRPV is not responsible for the condition/quality of any goods or services offered by a Participating Store in relation to the Promotion.
MRPV will not be liable for any loss or damages whatsoever (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the Promotion, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
MRPV’s inclusion of the Participating Store in the Promotion does not mean that MRPV in any way warrants or makes any representations as to the feasibility of, or assumes responsibility for, or has any obligations in relation to, the goods or services offered by the Participating Store.

Personal information collected, used and disclosed in connection with the Promotion is subject to the Promoter’s Privacy Policy.

Force Majeure

If for any reason the Promotion is not capable of running as planned (including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupts or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion) the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion. In the case of the intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders its determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the Promotion. The Promoter reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time and to cancel or amend the Promotion at any time without notice.

M80 Ring Road Completion - Backyard tree planting program

The Program is being run on behalf of the State of Victoria through Major Road Projects Victoria (MRPV), a division of the Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority (VIDA), an administrative office in relation to the Department of Transport of Planning, of Level 25, 180 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne ABN 69 981 208 782.

By entering into the Program, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

There is no entry or participation cost to participate in the Program.
There will be a total of 1000 trees made available as part of the Program to Eligible Residents.
The Promotion commences from 9:00am 24 June 2024 and concludes once all 1000 trees have been allocated as part of Program (Program Period).
Throughout the Program Period, Eligible Residents will be able to register for the Program and receive up to three trees for their specified residential address. Only one registration per Eligible Resident will be allowed, limited to one residential address only per registration. Duplicate registrations will not be accepted by MRPV.
Employees of MRPV or its contractors are ineligible to participate in the Program.
MRPV is not responsible for the condition/quality of any goods or services offered as part of the Program.
MRPV will not be liable for any loss or damages whatsoever (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the Program, except for liability that cannot be excluded by law.
MRPV reserves the right to cancel or refuse to honour a registration for the Program at their absolute and sole discretion.

The terms and conditions of this voucher are as follows:

You may use this Voucher for purchases up to the Value Limit at any one of the Participating Businesses, subject to these terms and conditions. The Voucher may also be used as partial payment towards purchases that exceed the Value Limit. If your purchase exceeds the Value Limit then you must pay the excess using another method of payment.
No change, credit or refund will be provided for purchases that are less than the Value Limit.
This Voucher must be redeemed in store only and must be provided to the Participating Business at time of purchase.
This Voucher cannot be redeemed for cash or other vouchers/gift cards.
You may only use this Voucher in one transaction.
Lost, stolen or damaged Vouchers cannot be replaced.
The voucher will expire on 30 APRIL 2025. After this date the voucher is no longer valid and cannot be accepted by any of the participating businesses.
