Concrete is one of the largest contributors to carbon emissions on infrastructure projects.

Metro Tunnel Project has introduced a number of innovations to reduce our carbon footprint due to concrete use.

Through these initiatives we have reduced our carbon emissions across the life-cycle of concrete (including emissions from manufacture, transportation and installation) by 165,000 tonnes. That’s equivalent to powering more than 20,000 homes for a year!
