From 2025, the Cranbourne, Pakenham and Sunbury lines will run through the Metro Tunnel, instead of the City Loop, stopping at 5 new stations.
These stations offer direct connections to St Kilda Rd employment precinct, the Shrine of Remembrance, Melbourne University and medical facilities, and to all other rail lines via easy interchanges with the City Loop.
