We’re starting to build North East Link – the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network.
Builders are moving power, water, gas, sewer and telecommunications lines. Around 100 above and below ground services are being moved to make way for North East Link. See project timeline.
The early works program is being delivered by CPB Contractors. They’re working hard to minimise disruptions and speaking with the local community, businesses and residents about works in their area, each step of the way.

Early works are taking place across the north-east of the project area starting from the M80 Ring Road and Greensborough Bypass through to Greensborough Road and Lower Plenty Road intersection.
Early works are taking place across the south of the project area starting from Bulleen Road and along the Eastern Freeway from Chandler Highway to Middleborough Road.
Bulleen Park & Ride is being built as a vital part of the dedicated busway along the Eastern Freeway that will make it easier for people to get to and from the city.
CPB Contractors have been appointed to build the new park and ride. Service investigations and works to prepare the site for construction are underway, with major works to build the facility beginning mid-year.
