We’ve already streamlined Hoddle Street, upgraded the Swan Street bridge, and built new sections of bike lanes on St Kilda Road, but there’s so much more to come.

Mega road and rail projects, like the Metro Tunnel and the West Gate Tunnel, will change the way you get to and from the city, from around the state.

Improving connectivity on St Kilda Road

St Kilda Road is one of Victoria’s busiest transport corridors for people travelling to and from the CBD, which is why we’re making changes to help keep cyclists, drivers and public transport users safe.

Construction is taking place under the road to build the new Anzac Station, and a new train and tram interchange has been built above, to make it safer and easier to switch between modes of transport.

We’ve also made it safer for cyclists along St Kilda Road, with sections of new bike lanes on St Kilda Road from Linlithgow Avenue to Dorcas Street, and Toorak Road to St Kilda Junction now open.
