Evans Road Upgrade

Overview

We're upgrading Evans Road from 2 to 4 lanes between Duff Street and Central Parkway in Cranbourne West.

The upgrade aims to improve safety and increase capacity to accommodate increasing traffic volumes.

Planning

Planning for the upgrade is underway and key activities include:

• developing a detailed project design
• detailed traffic analysis and modelling, to better understand the future growth of the area and the demand this will place on the road network
• investigations to test ground conditions and map utility services
• environmental investigations to understand flora, fauna and tree species.

Construction timelines will be known once our planning has progressed further.

Site investigations

To help inform our planning, a range of site investigations will be undertaken. At times, we may need to implement traffic control measures, including temporary lane closures, stop/slow traffic and reduced speeds. Traffic disruption will be kept to a minimum and busy periods will be avoided, where possible.
