Leaving a legacy

Our projects are about more than just roads, they’re also about leaving lasting legacies for the surrounding communities. As part of the Hall Road Upgrade, we’ve delivered a range of initiatives to support everything from local businesses to the environment and Indigenous culture.

Thanking the community

In late March 2024, we hosted a free event at the Wat Mornirangsi on Taylors Road to thank communities for their patience and support during our works.

Attendees were treated to spectacular performances by Cambodian and Sri Lankan dancers, followed by an interactive African drumming show that got the audience up on their feet. But the fun didn’t stop there!

Families also enjoyed face painting, balloon animals, live reptile and magic shows, a giant 20-foot inflatable slide and a special visit from the Easter Bunny. It was a truly amazing event that attracted over 2000 attendees.

Thank you to the local businesses and community groups who supported the event including Mansfield’s Propagation Nursery, Monte Verde Pizza, Subway, McDonald’s, Daniel’s Doughnuts, Carrum Downs Junior Football Club and the Casey Comets Football Club.

A new pathway forward

The upgrade isn’t just improving travel times for motorists – it’s also making it safer for pedestrians and cyclists to travel along Hall Road. We’ve built 7 km's of shared walking and cycling path to create a safer and continuous connection between Carrum Downs and Cranbourne.

This new path also connects to new signalised crossings, making it easier and safer for pedestrians to cross at the upgraded intersections, and access Cranbourne West Shopping Centre and the McDonald’s, BP and Subway located at the corner of Western Port Highway and Hall Road.
