Nepean Highway and Overton Road Intersection Upgrade

Overview

We’re upgrading the Nepean Highway and Overton Road intersection by installing traffic lights.

Planning and development

Planning work is underway and key activities include:

• developing a project design
• traffic analysis to better understand the future growth of the area and the demand this will place on the road network
• investigations to assess site conditions, including utilities.

We expect our initial planning work to be complete in late 2026. Construction timelines will be known once our planning has progressed further.

Site investigations

To help inform our planning, we’ll complete site investigations. At times, we may need to implement traffic control measures, including temporary lane closures, stop/slow traffic and reduced speeds. We’ll keep traffic disruption to a minimum and avoid busy periods where possible.
