We’ll close the Princes Freeway exit ramp to Central Avenue from 8.30pm, Sunday 13 September to early November while we install drainage underneath the existing ramp, build road pavement, tie in the existing ramp to Central Avenue and install lighting and safety barriers.
During the closure of the exit ramp there will be no direct access to Central Avenue from the ramp. Vehicles can use the new loop ramp onto Point Cook Road. Access to McDonald’s, Shell Reddy Express and Subway will be maintained.
To access Point Cook Road from the Princes Freeway Geelong-bound:
Use the new loop ramp and turn right on to Point Cook Road southbound. To access Central Avenue from the Princes Freeway Geelong-bound:
Use Newland Street exit; or
Use the new loop ramp, turn left onto Point Cook Road and U-turn at Triholm Avenue and left turn on to Central Avenue eastbound; or
Use the new loop ramp, turn right onto Point Cook Road, U-turn at Shane Avenue, then turn right at the new intersection on to Central Avenue eastbound. Direct access to Central Avenue eastbound from the new loop ramp will not be available.
