Planning work included traffic modelling, social studies and environmental investigations. This helped understand environmental and social impacts, develop design options, and confirm scope and costs of different options.

We’ve completed our development work and a Business Case has been completed. The Business Case is a comprehensive document that provides a detailed examination of the potential future road extension to help inform government decision-making.

What we heard

From 29 November to 14 December 2021, we asked for community feedback on a potential Geelong Ring Road Extension (Bellarine Link) via Engage Victoria. Thank you to everyone who took the time to provide feedback.

Feedback was considered in our planning and helped us understand how people currently using the road as well as their views on access, efficiency and safety.
