The Structures Rehabilitation Package will replace, repair, strengthen and rehabilitate 11 bridges and culverts (structures) across Melbourne’s north and south-east and upgrade barriers to increase safety. The structures have been identified as priority locations for works as part of long-term maintenance of the road network.

Northern suburbs:
- Barry Road over Craigieburn rail line near Coolaroo - complete
- Donnybrook Road near Donnybrook - complete
- Plenty Road over Barbers Creek at Yan Yean - complete
- Plenty Road over Mernda Drain at Mernda - complete
- Wallan Road near Whittlesea - complete
- Whittlesea-Yea Road near Whittlesea - complete.
South-east:
- South Gippsland Highway over Bunyip River near Tooradin - complete
- South Gippsland Highway over Eumemmerring Creek at Dandenong South
- South Gippsland Highway over Hallam Main Drain at Dandenong South
- South Gippsland Highway over Moodys Inlet near Tooradin - complete
- South Gippsland Highway over Muddy Gates Creek near Tooradin - complete.

Removal and replacement
In some cases, the works include:
- removing the existing bridge structure
- replacing it with a new one
- installing new safety barriers
- laying a new road surface.
Rehabilitation
At other locations, the bridge structures will be rehabilitated to improve the lifespan of the structure by:
- removing the existing surface
- making the structure stronger with additional steel or concrete
- laying a new road surface.
Cathodic protection
