Eastern Freeway Upgrades – Burke to Tram – Name the crane colouring competition
The competition invites students from local participating primary schools to submit their best colouring and naming efforts for the Eastern Freeway Upgrades Name the Crane Competition (Competition). Students can complete the colouring pages and submit their completed colouring entry page to their school.
The Competition is designed to raise awareness of the Eastern Freeway Upgrade and the construction of the Doncaster Park and Ride.
All students who submit an Entry in the Competition have a chance to win a $500 LEGO voucher. The Competition will commence on 29 April 2026 and conclude on 13 May 2026. The Competition winners will be selected by the Eastern Freeway Upgrades team, with the winner announced the week commencing 18 May 2026.
How to enter
Step 1: Students at participating schools can obtain an Entry for the Competition from their school.
Step 2: Submit the completed Entry at school by 13 May 2026.
Step 3: The winner will be contacted the week commencing 18 May 2026.
Participating schools
The following school/s and community groups will be participating in the Competition:
- Biralee Primary School [8/26 Heyington Ave, Doncaster VIC 3108]
- Doncaster Primary School [2/12 Council St, Doncaster VIC 3108]
- Greythorn Primary School [124 Greythorn Road, Balwyn North, VIC 3104]
- Belle Vue Primary School [ 20 Highview Rd, Balwyn North VIC 3104]
The Eastern Freeway Upgrade is being conducted by VIDA Roads, a division of the Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority ABN 69 981 208 782, an administrative office in relation to the Department of Transport and Planning, of Level 25/180 Lonsdale St, Melbourne VIC 3000 (Promoter).
By submitting an entry into the Competition, you agree to the Promoter’s Terms and Conditions:
- There is no entry fee for the Competition.
- The Competition will commence at 8am, 29 April 2026, and conclude at 9am 13 May May 2026 Late entries will not be accepted.
- This Competition is open to:
- current residents of Victoria
- individuals aged up to 12 years old at the commencement of the Competition; and
- entrants are enrolled at the participating schools
- As entrants are under the age of 18 years, they must obtain and be able to demonstrate the consent of a parent or guardian before entering the Competition. By entering this Competition, entrants confirm that they have consent, and the Promoter reserves the right to verify this.
- To submit a valid Entry for the Competition, an entrant must:
- submit their completed Entry at a Participating School by 9am, 13 May 2026
- include sufficient contact details in order for the Promoter to be able to identify the entrant.
- An entrant may enter this competition multiple times, provided there is a separate and unique Entry completed and collected at the Participating School.
- The winners will be chosen based on creativity. Winners will be selected by the Promoter the week commencing 18 May 2026.
- The Winner will be notified via the participating school.
- The Winner will receive a $500 LEGO voucher.
- The Promoter has the right to exclude an Entry at their sole discretion.
- The Promoter reserves the right to cancel all or any part of the Competition at any time.
- The Promoter will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the Voucher or the Competition, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
- The Winner will be contacted to collect their Voucher. The Promoter will not be liable for any costs associated with collection of the Voucher.
- If a Winner cannot be located within 28 days of the draw, another Winner will be announced and notified via the school.
- The directors, management, employees and their immediate families, of the Promoter, and related companies, agencies and suppliers are ineligible to enter the Competition.
- The Competition may be withdrawn or extended at any time by the Promoter.
- Entrants will be asked to consent to the use of their names, likeness, image and/or voice (including entries for the Competition, photography, film and/or recording of the same) by the Promoter in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purposes of promoting this Competition (including any outcome). If an entrant is under the age of 18 years, the parent or guardian (who is aged over 18 years) of the entrant will be asked to give the Promoter this consent on the entrant’s behalf.
- Entrants must provide their name, year level and parents / legal guardians contact information on entry into the Competition. The Promoter will collect and use this personal information to contact entrants about the results of the Competition and promotional opportunities. Personal information will not be used or disclosed for any other purpose without consent of the entrant.
