Overview

Planning and early works are underway for a future upgrade to the Western Freeway and Brewery Tap Road intersection in Warrenheip, to improve safety and freeway access.

Planning update

Planning work is underway and key activities include:

developing a project design
detailed traffic analysis and modelling
on-site investigations to test ground conditions and map utility services
environmental investigations to understand flora, fauna and tree species.

Planning work will be used to inform the design, cost and timeline of the upgrade.

Site investigations

To help inform planning, a range of site investigations will be undertaken. At times, we may need to implement traffic control measures, including temporary lane closures, stop/slow traffic and reduced speeds. Traffic disruption will be kept to a minimum and busy periods will be avoided, where possible.
