Entry

4. Competition entry opens at 12:00AM on Monday, 24 March 2025 and closes at 11:59PM on Sunday, 25 May 2025 (“Entry Period”).

5. All times and dates are times and dates in Melbourne, Australia.

6. The Competition is only open to you if you meet the following eligibility criteria at the time of entry:

a) you are an individual; and

b) you are a current resident of Victoria aged 18 years or older; and

c) you are not an employee, contractor, or supplier of the Promoter; and

d) you are not an immediate family member of a person not eligible under paragraph 6(c).

(“You”, “Your” or “Participant”)

7. To enter the Competition, You must do all of the following things during the Entry Period:

a) collect an official hard copy Competition Map from a participating trader in any of the four (4) Zones set clause 7(b) and the Precinct Map; and
b) must make one (1) purchase from a participating trader in each of the following four (4) zones:

i. Railway Parade North between Euneva Avenue and Springvale Road; and the block included between Railway Parade North, Springvale Road, O'Sullivan Road and Kingsway. (Zone 1)

ii. western side of Kingsway from Coleman Parade to Montclair Avenue, including those within the Ikon building (Zone 2)

iii. western side of Kingsway and southern side of Montclair Avenue (Zone 3); and

iv. eastern side of Kingsway from Coleman Parade to Glen Waverley library (Zone 4).

(collectively the “Zones”)

as marked on the Precinct Map located at the end of these terms and conditions. At end of the purchase, the participating trader will give you an official Competition sticker upon request; and

c) affix or adhere all four (4) official Competition stickers, one (1) from each Zone to the Competition Map; and
d) submit your completed Competition Map where you see a Competition entry box at one of the participating traders.

8. For the purposes of these terms and conditions a ‘Competition Map’ is an official Competition entry form printed by the Promotor and made available through participating Glen Waverley traders in accordance with clause 7(a).

9. Only a Competition Map with four (4) stickers, including one (1) from each Zone, will be eligible to win.

10. Validity of entries and selection of entries is at the sole discretion of the Promoter.

11. You may enter the Competition multiple times within the Entry Period by submitting an additional completed Competition Map/s in accordance with clause 7 (above).

12. You may also claim one (1) entry into the Competition by scanning the QR code on the Competition Map and then signing up for the SRLA e-newsletter.

Note: The Promoter will only ever ask you to provide your name, email address and telephone number. For the avoidance of doubt, the Promotor will never ask for your credit card details or other financial or sensitive information.

13. You consent to the Promoter publishing and using your full name for legal and promotional purposes in the event that you are a Competition winner.

14. The Promoter takes no responsibility for any late or misdirected entries or for any delays or failures in any telecommunications service or equipment. Any entry received after the expiry of the Entry Period will be deemed invalid. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost, delayed, or misdirected entries.

The competition draw and winners

15. Skill plays no part in determining Competition winners.

16. The Competition will be drawn on Monday, 3 June 2025 at 10:00am on Level 21, 222 Exhibition Street, Melbourne. The Promoter will place all Competition entries received during the Entry Period into the Draw. The Promotor will conduct the draw by randomly selecting Competition entries (“Draw”).

17. The first eleven (11) valid entries drawn will win a prize:

a) the first entry drawn will win First Prize;
b) the second entry drawn will win Second Prize;
c) the third entry drawn will win Third Prize;
d) The fourth entry drawn or win Fourth Prize;
e) the fifth entry drawn will win Fifth Prize;
f) the sixth entry drawn will win Sixth Prize;
g) the seventh entry drawn will win Seventh Prize;
h) the eighth entry drawn will win Eighth Prize;
i) the ninth entry drawn will win Ninth Prize;
j) the tenth entry drawn will win Tenth Prize;
k) the eleventh entry drawn will win Eleventh Prize.

18. If a winning entry is invalid or does not comply with these terms and conditions, that entry will be disregarded, and the Promotor will select a replacement winner by randomly selecting one of the remaining Competition entries.

19. The Promoter’s decisions in relation to the Competition are final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

20. The Promoter will notify the winners by an email to the email address provided with the entry. The Promotor may at its absolute discretion also contact a winner by phone, using the phone number provided with the entry.

21. Prizes must be collected by each winner from the location specified by the Promoter within 7 days of the notification, or any attempted notification by the Promoter. Proof of identity will be required upon collection.

22. Prizes must be redeemed within their respective validity period and in accordance with any conditions specified on them or by any trader voucher (if applicable).

23. If for any reason a winner does not collect the Prize in accordance with these Terms & Conditions, the Prize will be forfeited and a replacement winner will be selected by drawing the next valid entry at random, excluding any Participant who has already been awarded or forfeited a Prize.

24. If a prize becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond the control of the Promotor, it may substitute a prize which is of the same or greater value than the original prize.

Verification

25. All entries to the Competition may be subject to verification by the Promoter. The Promoter will reimburse the Participant for any reasonable costs incurred in complying with this condition. A Participant must deliver to the Promoter (by a means determined by the Promoter) copies of any documents the Promoter may request establishing eligibility to enter or win, including evidence of age, employment, residence or identity. The Promoter may make one or more requests for such documents. Once any relevant documents have been identified and requested, the Participant must deliver to the Promotor copies of any document within 7 days of the request. A Participant must provide access and allow the Promoter to inspect and copy any original documents within 7 days of a request by the Promotor.

26. The Promoter may, at its absolute discretion, declare any or all entries made by a Participant invalid if the Participant:

a) fails to establish their entitlement to enter the Competition to the Promoter’s reasonable satisfaction; or
b) produces documents that, in the Promoters’ reasonable opinion, are illegible, stolen forged, reconstructed, altered, incomplete or tampered with in any way; or
c) in the Promoter’s reasonable opinion, tampers with the entry process or benefits from such tampering; or
d) in the Promoter’s reasonable opinion, submits an entry which is not in accordance with these conditions.

General Conditions

27. This Competition and any associated terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria. By participating in this Competition, each entrant or Participant submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.

28. The Promoter may at any time appoint a contractor or agent to run or manage this Competition, or any element of this Competition, on its behalf.

29. If for any reason the conduct or operation of the Competition is interfered with or disrupted in any way by a cause outside the reasonable controls of the Promoter (including by vandalism, power failures, natural disasters, acts of God, pandemics, civil unrest, strikes, tampering, computer bugs or viruses or technical failures), the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend or recommence the Competition.

30. If any provision of these conditions is unenforceable for any reason, it will be severed and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Liability

31. The Promoter is not liable for any prize being lost, damaged, uncollected or undelivered.

32. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability, or merchantability of a prize.

33. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with a prize or the Competition, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

34. Nothing in these conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify the rights of a Participant under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).

Privacy

35. Personal information is collected to enable the administration, publicity, and marketing of the Promotion, including the announcement of the winners’ names on social media or other promotional materials. Personal information collected, used and disclosed in connection with this Promotion is subject to the SRLA Privacy policy and the SRLA Privacy Collection Statement. By law, the Promotor must keep certain records for a period of 3 years after finalisation of the Competition to ensure:

a) accurate financial accounting of the Competition;
b) accurate accounting for all entries; and
c) accurate report of the distribution of Prizes.

Competition Prizes


2. By participating in this Competition, You have the chance to win $1000 towards Eligible Business Improvement Expenses, subject to the requirements in clauses 3 to 5 of these Terms & Conditions.


Requirements


3. The Promotor will reimburse the Competition winner for Eligible Business Improvement Expenses up to the value of $1000 (+ GST).

4. The Eligible Business Improvement Expense must be pre-approved by the Promotor to qualify for reimbursement.

5. An eligible business improvement expense means a cost or expense that in the reasonable opinion of the Promotor will likely improve the way an Eligible Business operates. It may include costs or expenses that could improve business outcomes such as ‘customer experience’, leveraging of technology, streamlining operations, or engaging professional or marketing or advertising service providers to increase the revenue or profit of an Eligible Business. It specifically excludes ordinary operating expenses, including but not limited to rent, utilities, and staff wages. (“Eligible Business Improvement Expense”)


Entry


6. Competition entry opens at 12:00AM on Monday, 24 March 2025 and closes at 11:59PM on Sunday, 25 May 2025 (“Entry Period”).
7. All times and dates are times and dates in Melbourne, Australia.
8. The Competition is only open to you if you meet the following eligibility criteria at the time of entry:

(a) You are an owner or operator of a trader or business participating in the Glen Waverley Suburban Rail Loop ‘Explore and win’ competition; and
(b) That business is located on the Precinct Map and is outlined in red (“Eligible Business”).
(c) you are not an employee, contractor, or supplier of the Promoter; and
(d) you are not an immediate family member of a person not eligible under paragraph 8(c).


(“You”, “Your” or “Participant”)


9. To enter the Competition, You must do all of the following things during the Entry Period:

(a) Return to SRLA a permission form permitting SRLA to promote your Eligible Business in its “Glen Waverley Suburban Rail Loop ‘Explore and Win’ competition” (‘Explore and Win Competition’); and
(b) Display an official printed Explore and Win Competition poster in Your Eligible Business in a location that can be seen by members of the public for the whole of the Entry Period; or
(c) share or repost official Explore and Win Competition social media content using the social media account of Your Eligible Business on at least 2 occasions during the Entry Period; or
(d) Distribute the 'Explore and Win Competition' official Competition Maps (entry forms) and stickers provided by the Promotor to members of the public upon request during the whole of the Entry Period; or
(e) Host an Explore and Win Competition entry box in Your store or business.


10. Validity of entries and selection of entries is at the sole discretion of the Promoter.

15. The first number to be randomly generated will win the Prize.

16. If the winning entry is invalid or does not comply with these terms and conditions, that entry will be disregarded, the Promotor will select a replacement winner by using a random number generator to randomly select a new number.


17. The Promoter’s decisions in relation to the Competition are final, and no correspondence will be entered into.


18. The Promoter will notify the winner by email to the email address provided by You. The Promotor may at its absolute discretion also contact a winner by phone, using the phone number provided by You.


19. Prize will be transferred by Electronic Funds Transfer to the winner once the Eligible Business Improvement Expense has been agreed with the Promotor, the winner has provided any quotes, receipts, other information requested to the reasonable satisfaction of the Promotor.


20. If for any reason the winner does not do all things necessary to receive the Prize in accordance with these Terms & Conditions within 3 months of the Draw, the Prize will be forfeited and a replacement winner will be selected by drawing the next valid entry using a random number generator, excluding any Participant who has already been awarded or forfeited a Prize.


21. If the Prize becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond the control of the Promotor, it may substitute a prize which is of the same or greater value than the original prize.

22. All entries to the Competition may be subject to verification by the Promoter. The Promoter will reimburse the Participant for any reasonable costs incurred in complying with this condition. Entry into the Competition constitutes acceptance of these terms & conditions.

Participation

1. Entry

2. The Competition is only open to Eligible Entrants. An ‘Eligible Entrant’ is an individual who, at the time of entry:

a) is a current resident of Victoria aged 18 years or older

b) is not an employee, contractor or supplier of the Promoter; and

c) is not an immediate family member of a person not eligible under paragraph 3(b).

3. Competition entry opens at 12.00am Friday 6 December 2024 and closes at 11:59pm Sunday 15 December 2024 (‘Entry Period’).

4. All times and dates are times and dates in Melbourne, Australia.

5. To enter, an Eligible Entrant must follow the entry instructions in these conditions.

6. The Eligible Entrant must, during the Entry Period:

a) Spend a minimum amount of AU$10.00 in a single valid transaction (‘Minimum Transaction Amount’) at any participating retail business located in the precinct marked in the attached map for clarity (namely at Haughton Road, Carinish Road, Dunstan Street and Clayton Road, Clayton);

b) Complete the entry form at any participating business; and

c) Submit the completed entry form in the box at any the participating business.

7. Entrants consent to the Promoter using their full name in the event that they are a winner for promotional purposes.

8. Validity of entries and selection of entries is at the sole discretion of the Promoter.

9. The Promoter takes no responsibility for any late or misdirected entries or for any delays or failures in any telecommunications service or equipment.

10. Any entry received after the expiry of the Entry Period will be deemed invalid. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost, delayed or misdirected entries.

11. An Eligible Entrant may enter the Competition multiple times within the Entry Period by submitting a completed entry form for each Minimum Transaction Amount spent.

12. Purchases above the Minimum Transaction Amount in a single transaction at an eligible retail business in the precinct qualify as a single entry only.

13. The Minimum Transaction Amount excludes any transaction in connection with gambling, gaming machine use, the purchase of firearms or ammunition, the promotion or purchase of tobacco, e-cigarettes or vaping products, or any other transaction that may contravene the law of a State or Territory, or the Commonwealth of Australia.

14. The Promoter will notify the winners by an email to the email address provided with the entry.

15. All entries to the Competition may be subject to verification by the Promoter. The Promoter will reimburse an entrant for any reasonable costs incurred in complying with this condition. An entrant must deliver to the Promoter (by a means determined by the Promoter) copies of any documents the Promoter may request establishing eligibility to enter or win, including a receipt or proof of purchase for the transaction referred to in condition 6(a) (above), evidence of age, employment, residence or identity. The Promoter may make one or more requests for such documents. Once the identity of documents available is established, an entrant must deliver requested copies within 7 days of being asked to do so. At the Promoter’s request, an entrant must, also within 7 days of being asked, allow the Promoter to inspect and copy the original of any such document.

16. The Promoter may, at its absolute discretion, declare any or all entries made by an entrant invalid if the entrant:

a) fails to establish their entitlement to enter the Competition to the Promoter’s reasonable satisfaction; or

b) produces documents that, in the Promoters’ reasonable opinion, are illegible, stolen forged, reconstructed, altered, incomplete or tampered with in any way; or

c) in the Promoter’s reasonable opinion, tampers with the entry process or benefits from such tampering; or

d) in the Promoter’s reasonable opinion, submits an entry which is not in accordance with these conditions.

Winner and prize

17. All entries in the Competition will go into a random draw. The first eight (8) valid entries will be randomly drawn on Monday 16 December and will win a Prize. If the winning entry is invalid, that entry will be disregarded and the Prize will be awarded by drawing the next valid entry in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

18. Skill plays no part in determining Competition winners.

19. The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

20. There will be a total of eight (8) winners. Each winner drawn will be randomly allocated one (1) of the eight (8) hampers with a retail value of $450. The total prize pool value is $3,600. The prize, or any unused portion of the prize, is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash, unless otherwise specified.

21. Winners will be contacted on the phone number set out on the relevant entry form. Prizes must be collected by the winner from the location specified by the Promoter within seven (7) days of the notification or any attempted notification by the Promoter. Proof of identity will be required upon collection.

22. Prizes must be redeemed within their respective validity period and in accordance with any conditions specified on them or by any voucher trader (if applicable).

23. If for any reason a winner does not collect the Prize in accordance with clause 21, the prize will be forfeited and a replacement winner will be selected by awarding the Prize to the next eligible entrant by random (excluding those persons who have already been awarded a prize).

General

30. The Promoter may at any time appoint a contractor or agent to run or manage this Competition, on any element of this Competition, on its behalf.

31. Nothing in these conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify an entrant’s rights under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.

32. If any provision of these conditions is unenforceable for any reason, it will be severed and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Glen Waverley Suburban Rail Loop Summer Shop and Win Competition

Entry into the Competition constitutes acceptance of the following terms & conditions.

Participation

1.  This competition (‘Competition’) is conducted by Suburban Rail Loop Authority or ‘SRLA’, ABN 47 474 521 596, a body corporate established under the Suburban Rail Loop Act 2021 (Vic) of Level 21, 222 Exhibition Street, Melbourne, Victoria 3000, Website: bigbuild.vic.gov.au/projects/suburban-rail-loop, Telephone: 1800 105 105 (‘Promoter’).

Entry

2.  The Competition is only open to Eligible Entrants. An ‘Eligible Entrant’ is an individual who, at the time of entry:

a) is a current resident of Victoria aged 18 years or older

b) is not an employee, contractor or supplier of the Promoter; and

c) is not an immediate family member of a person not eligible under paragraph 3(b).

3. Competition entry opens at 12:00AM on Sunday, 1 December 2024 and closes at 11:59PM on Friday, 31 January 2025 (“Entry Period”).

4. All times and dates are times and dates in Melbourne, Australia.

5. To enter, an Eligible Entrant must follow the entry instructions in these conditions.

6. The Eligible Entrant must, during the Entry Period:

a) Spend a minimum amount of $10.00 AUD in a single valid transaction (‘Minimum Transaction Amount’) at any participating retail business located in the Glen Waverley and marked in the attached map below.

b) Complete and submit an online the entry form via the QR code or by visiting https://suburbanrailloop.vic.gov.au/glen-waverley-shop-and-win; and

c) The entry form must include the ‘receipt number’ printed on the receipt or proof of purchase for the transaction referred to above in condition 6(a); and

d) Retain the receipt or proof of purchase for the transaction referred in condition 6(a) (above).

7.  Entrants consent to the Promoter using their full name in the event that they are a winner for promotional purposes.

8.  Validity of entries and selection of entries is at the sole discretion of the Promoter.

9.  The Promoter takes no responsibility for any late or misdirected entries or for any delays or failures in any telecommunications service or equipment.

10. Any entry received after the expiry of the Entry Period will be deemed invalid. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost, delayed or misdirected entries.

11. An Eligible Entrant may enter the Competition multiple times within the Entry Period by submitting a completed entry form for each Minimum Transaction Amount spent.

12.  Purchases above the Minimum Transaction Amount in a single transaction at an eligible retail business in the precinct qualify as a single entry only.

13. The Minimum Transaction Amount excludes any transaction in connection with gambling, gaming machine use, the purchase of firearms or ammunition, the promotion or purchase of tobacco, e-cigarettes or vaping products, or any other transaction that may contravene the law of a State or Territory, or the Commonwealth of Australia.

14. The Promoter will notify the winners by an email to the email address provided with the entry.

15. All entries to the Competition may be subject to verification by the Promoter. The Promoter will reimburse an entrant for any reasonable costs incurred in complying with this condition. An entrant must deliver to the Promoter (by a means determined by the Promoter) copies of any documents the Promoter may request establishing eligibility to enter or win, including a receipt or proof of purchase for the transaction referred to in condition 6(a) (above), evidence of age, employment, residence or identity. The Promoter may make one or more requests for such documents. Once the identity of documents available is established, an entrant must deliver requested copies within 7 days of being asked to do so. At the Promoter’s request, an entrant must, also within 7 days of being asked, allow the Promoter to inspect and copy the original of any such document.

16. The Promoter may, at its absolute discretion, declare any or all entries made by an entrant invalid if the entrant:

a) fails to establish their entitlement to enter the Competition to the Promoter’s reasonable satisfaction; or

b) produces documents that, in the Promoters’ reasonable opinion, are illegible, stolen forged, reconstructed, altered, incomplete or tampered with in any way; or

c) in the Promoter’s reasonable opinion, tampers with the entry process or benefits from such tampering; or

d) in the Promoter’s reasonable opinion, submits an entry which is not in accordance with these conditions.

The draw, winners and prizes

17. All Competition entries received during the Entry Period will be placed into any future Draws conducted by the Promotor from the date of entry.

18. There will be a total of 27 winners across a total of 9 Draws. The Promotor will conduct a random draw to select Competition winners (Draw) on the following dates:

(a) Tuesday 10 December 2024 (x 1 Draw)

(b) Tuesday 17 December 2024 (x 1 Draw)

(c) Tuesday, 7 January 2025 (x 3 Draws)

(d) Tuesday, 14 January 2025 (x 1 Draw)

19.  The first 3 entries drawn for each Draw will win a Prize. If the winning entry is invalid, that entry will be disregarded and the Prize will be awarded by drawing the next valid entry in accordance with these Competition terms and conditions.

Each winner drawn will be randomly allocated 1 prize (valued at either $100, $150 or $250) from the prizes listed below (Prize):

20. The total prize pool value is $4,500. The Prize, or any unused portion of the Prize, is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash, unless otherwise specified.

21. Winners will be contacted on the phone number set out on the relevant entry form. Prizes must be collected by the winner from the location specified by the Promoter within 7 days of the notification or any attempted notification by the Promoter. Proof of identity will be required upon collection.

22. Prizes must be redeemed within their respective validity period and in accordance with any conditions specified on them or by any trader voucher (if applicable).

23. If for any reason a winner does not collect the Prize in accordance with condition22, the Prize will be forfeited and a replacement winner will be selected by drawing the next valid entry at random, excluding any Eligible Entrant who has already been awarded a Prize.

24. Skill plays no part in determining Competition winners.

25. The Promoter’s decisions in relation to the Competition are final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

General

26. This Competition and any associated terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria. By participating in this Competition each entrant or Eligible Entrant submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.

27. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability, or merchantability of a Prize.

28. The Promoter is not liable for any Prize being lost, damaged, unavailable, uncollected or undelivered.

29. Personal information is collected to enable the administration and promotion of the Promotion, including the announcement of the winners’ names on social media or other promotional materials. Personal information collected, used and disclosed in connection with this Promotion is subject to the SRLA Privacy policy and the SRLA Privacy Collection Statement. By law, certain records must be kept for a period of 3 years after finalisation of the Competition to ensure:

(a) accurate financial accounting of the Competition;

(b) accurate accounting for all entries; and

(c) accurate report of the distribution of Prizes.

30. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the Prize or the Promotion, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
