28 January 2026
We are delivering stage one of Melbourne Airport Rail with the Australian and Victorian governments investing more than $4 billion to deliver the Sunshine Superhub, creating space for a rail line to the airport and an electrified Melton Line. The project will also build a new modern and accessible Albion Station.
In preparation for major construction works on the Sunshine Superhub, a number of underground utilities services need to be relocated around the Sunshine Station precinct.
We will undertake investigative works to locate utility services on Sun Crescent, Dickson Street and Durham Road.
What we're doing
Between 9.30am and 2pm on Thursday 29 and Friday 30 January, we will investigate services on the following local streets in Sunshine:
- Sun Crescent, between Watt Street and Durham Road
- Durham Road, between Watt Street and Sun Crescent
- Dickson Street, between Hampshire Road and Clarke Street.
What to expect
- While we work, you will notice traffic management and a small work crew.
When we'll work
- Thursday 29 and Friday 30 January, 9.30am to 2pm.
Changes to the way you travel
- Short, periodic traffic stoppages on Sun Crescent, Durham Road, Hampshire Road, Dickson Street, Harvester Road and Clarke Street, to enable crews to safely access the works areas.
- Traffic controllers, traffic management signage, and speed reductions will be in place.
- These works have been scheduled outside peak periods to avoid higher traffic volumes.
