A new Albion Station will be built to become a modern and accessible station as part Melbourne Airport Rail Stage 1: West Footscray to Albion Rail Upgrade.
The new Albion Station is funded by the Victorian Government and it will feature a new overpass with lifts and stairs leading to the central platform, upgraded lighting, new shelters and seating.
Accessibility across the station precinct will be improved, with stairs and lifts on both sides of the rail line, making it easier to cross the rail line, and new pedestrian paths to the station.
