This report summarises the audit activities and outcomes during the 6-month period covering construction activities for the M80 Ring Road Completion and Eastern Freeway Upgrades from May – October 2025.

14 audits were conducted during the reporting period.

A total of 82 audit findings were raised and each work package established corrective actions to address the audit findings.

  • M80 Ring Road Completion: 7 non-compliances, 14 area for improvement and 13 observations. The M80 Ring Road Alliance closed out 33 findings during the reporting period, comprising of 6 Non-Compliances, 15 Areas For Improvement, and 12 Observations. Findings which remained opened at the end of the reporting period require appropriate corrective action to manage and control the associated risks.
  • Eastern Freeway Upgrades (Burke Road to Tram Road): 6 non-compliances, 24 areas for improvement and 7 observations. The Eastern Freeway (Burke to Tram) Alliance closed out 32 findings during the reporting period, comprising of 7 Non-Compliances, 18 Areas For Improvement, and 7 Operations. Findings which remained opened at the end of the reporting period require appropriate corrective action to manage and control the associated risks.
  • Eastern Freeway Upgrades (Tram Road to Springvale Road): this package of works started within the reporting period. 0 non-compliances, 3 areas for improvement and 0 observations. Findings which remained opened at the end of the reporting period require appropriate corrective action to manage and control the associated risks
  • Eastern Freeway Upgrades (Hoddle Street to Burke Road): this package of works started within the reporting period. 2 non-compliances, 6 areas for improvement and 0 observations. Findings which remained opened at the end of the reporting period require appropriate corrective action to manage and control the associated risks
