This report summarises the audit activities and outcomes during the 6-month period covering construction activities for the M80 Ring Road Completion and Eastern Freeway Upgrades from May – October 2024.

13 audits were conducted during the reporting period.

A total of 60 audit findings were raised and each work package established corrective actions to address the audit findings.

  • M80 Ring Road Completion: 8 non-compliances, 13 area for improvement and 12 observations. The M80 Ring Road Alliance closed out 18 findings during the reporting period, comprising of 2 Non-Compliances, 5 Areas For Improvement, and 12 Observations. Findings which remained opened at the end of the reporting period require appropriate corrective action to manage and control the associated risks.
  • Eastern Freeway Upgrades (Burke Road to Tram Road): 4 non-compliances, 13 areas for improvement and 10 observations. The Eastern Freeway (Burke to Tram) Alliance closed out 16 findings during the reporting period, comprising of 3 Non-Compliances, 11 Areas For Improvement, and 2 Operations. Findings which remained opened at the end of the reporting period require appropriate corrective action to manage and control the associated risks.
  • Indara tower relocation works: 0 non-compliances, 0 area for improvement, and 0 observations. Indara has addressed and closed out all findings identified during the previous reporting period. The Indara Tower Relocation Works have been completed with all FIEA compliance audit findings having been closed.
  • Eastern Freeway Upgrades (Hoddle Street to Burke Road): this package of works had not commenced within the reporting period.
  • Eastern Freeway Upgrades (Tram Road to Springvale Road): this package of works had not commenced within the reporting period.
