This report summarises the audit activities and outcomes during the 6-month period covering tunnel package construction activities by Spark from November 2023 – April 2024.
Five audits were conducted during the audit period.
A total of 50 audit findings were raised comprising 6 Non-compliances, 25 Areas for Improvement, and 19 Observations.
Spark established corrective actions to address the audit findings. During the reporting period 55 findings were closed.
The overall outcomes of the audits conducted showed that Spark has improved their implementation of environmental management processes.
However, findings against the Worksite Environmental Management Plans, which largely manage on ground environmental controls, increased compared to the previous reporting period, and have been increasing since project commencement. This increase corresponds with the increased scope and complexity of activities as construction ramps up.
