The Victorian Government is delivering three new stations at Goornong, Huntly and Raywood to give people in these growing communities access to train services close to where they live.
Construction of the new Raywood Station is underway and is targeted for completion in late-2022.
The new station at Raywood will be located on Inglewood Street, north of the Inglewood Street level crossing.
The new station will include:
- a single-sided platform on the east side of the rail line
- lighting, seating and shelter
- two bicycle hoops
- signage, CCTV, and public address (PA) system
- car parking with lighting and CCTV.
What are the benefits?
The new Raywood Station will give people in this growing community access to trains close to where they live.
A sealed car park, bus stops and cycling facilities will provide connectivity to the station and make accessing the train easy for passengers.
Lighting and CCTV will provide station users with added security.
Who is responsible?
The new Raywood Station is being delivered by Rail Projects Victoria on behalf of the Victorian Government.
Symal has been appointed to design and build the new stations at Goornong, Huntly and Raywood.
Goornong Station was delivered on schedule, opening in December 2021. Huntly Station is targeted for completion in mid-2022, with Raywood Station to follow in late-2022.
Bendigo and Echuca Line Upgrade
The new stations at Goornong, Raywood and Huntly are being delivered as part of the Bendigo and Echuca Line Upgrade, which will enable trains to travel at higher speeds on the Echuca Line and more frequent services between Bendigo, Epsom and Eaglehawk.
