Works are underway on Stage 2 of the Warrnambool Line Upgrade, to enable VLocity trains to run to Warrnambool for the first time.

What we are doing

We’re undertaking works to upgrade the Cobden-Stonyford Road level crossing in Stonyford.
Works will include:
— trenching along the railway line on either side of the level crossing
— cable modification work.
Works will take place Monday to Friday between 7am and 6pm and Saturday between 8am and 1pm, from mid-November to mid-January.

What to be aware of

There may be an increase in noise in the rail corridor at times. We’ll minimise these impacts by:

• turning off equipment and vehicles when not in use
• covering truck loads
• monitoring noise and dust
• communicating impacts to those who may be affected.
