New public art installed at Parkdale’s new station precinct pays homage to the past, present and the future of Parkdale.
‘Windsong’ by Melbourne artist Anne Ross consists of 2 bronze sculptures that capture past and contemporary elements of the area, including local architectural, historical, social, and geographical themes.
Located opposite the Parkdale Village traders on Como Parade West, the sculptures stand at 1.5m and a larger 1.8m tall respectively, so community members of all ages can connect with the art.
“Both of the figures are facing the future straight on, while acknowledging the past” – Anne Ross.
