The level crossing at Warrigal Road, Mentone has been removed by building a rail bridge over the road. The new Parkdale Station opened to passengers in August 2024.
This is part of the Victorian Government’s efforts to make the Frankston Line level crossing free by 2029. Upgrades to this line will improve safety, reduce congestion, and allow more trains to run more often.
Works will continue to finish the station building and create new community open space including new trees and greenery, community gathering places and sporting and recreational facilities for the community to enjoy.
