Spend locally and win big on the Hurstbridge Line

Work is underway on the 3.5km Hurstbridge Line Duplication, to deliver more trains more often and less crowding on peak services for passengers in Melbourne’s north-east.

To help support local traders during our 6 week construction blitz in March and April, we’re encouraging shoppers at Greensborough, Montmorency and Diamond Creek to support local traders by entering our Spend and Win Competition.

Over 4 weeks from Monday 27 February to Sunday 26 March, shoppers who spend at least $10 in a single transaction at participating traders can enter our weekly prize draws.

To enter simply pick up an entry form from your favourite shop.

A total of 36 $100 vouchers will be up for grabs to spend at participating traders within Greensborough, Montmorency and Diamond Creek.

By duplicating the track between Greensborough and Montmorency and Diamond Creek and Wattle Glen, more services will be offered, as well as greater reliability for commuters.

Once finished, trains will run every 7 mins from Greensborough, every 10 mins from Montmorency and Eltham, and every 20 mins from Diamond Creek, Wattle Glen and Hurstbridge during morning peak, allowing for 2 additional services.

New Greensborough and Montmorency stations are also set to open on Sunday 30 April once the 3.5km track duplication is complete.

The Spend and Win competition is our way of supporting local traders and thanking the community for their patience and understanding, while our crews get on with making it easier for you to get where you need to go.

Our competition posters will be displayed at participating stores to help shoppers identify participating traders.

A list of participating traders is available below, and please visit our terms and conditions page for more competition information.
