Werribee self-guided walking tour underway

Back to Newsfeed

This summer, Werribee locals are invited to celebrate the removal of the Cherry Street and Werribee Street level crossings by exploring the new public spaces.

A self-guided, interactive walking tour highlights key features of the new areas.

Answer questions based on each location and you’ll receive a free coffee for participating, and you’ll also go into prize draws for local business vouchers valued up to $200.

You can complete the tour until Monday 31 January. Visit the link below for more information about how to get started.

Walking tour off to terrific start

The self-guided walking tour launched on Saturday 11 December with locals visiting the new Werribee skate park and Cherry Street plazas for showbags, a sausage sizzle and sweet treats from local traders, along with a special prize draw for those who completed the tour on the day.

At Cherry Street, locals met artist Richard Briggs, who created ‘Community Recordings’ – a series of line drawings engraved in paving that illustrate conversations about Werribee with a diverse range of people in the local community.

More prizes up for grabs

Complete the tour to discover more about the projects, how they were built, and how they’ve improved safety and delivered community spaces for the Werribee community to enjoy.

There are more prizes on offer for completing the survey in January, including:

  • $200 In Balance Fitness vouchers
  • $100 Miss Stevie Hair Studio vouchers
  • $50 Woolworths vouchers

Complete the self-guided walking tour by Monday 31 January to go into the draw.
