We removed the Werribee Street, Werribee level crossing by building a rail bridge over the road.
As part of the project, 30,000 square metres of new public space was created and includes a skate park, new shared use paths, landscaping, and 2 giant emu feet sculptures.
Removing this level crossing has improved travel for the 20,000 vehicles that used the level crossing each day.
Timeline
The Werribee Street level crossing was removed in late January 2021.
