Buses are getting ready to use Bulleen Park & Ride – with the first part of the massive North East Link Program set to open soon.

The premium bus station is the first part of the Eastern Express Busway – Melbourne's first dedicated busway from Doncaster towards the city to be built alongside major upgrades to the Eastern Freeway.

More than 1000 buses will travel through the fast-tracked Bulleen Park & Ride each week, with one bus every 3 minutes during peak from Sunday 30 April.

Bus services along the Eastern Freeway are already among the busiest in Melbourne, with 6 million passenger trips per year. 3 bus routes will travel through the park and ride including Route 905, Route 305 in the weekday peak, and the updated Route 309, providing direct access to and from the city for passengers from Bulleen, Doncaster East and Templestowe. New bus timetables will be available from 6 April at ptv.vic.gov.au.

Topping off Bulleen Park & Ride is Victoria’s first ‘green roof’ on a transport hub – with 5000 square metres of open space and parking for up to 370 cars underneath.

Bulleen Park & Ride has been delivered as part of the massive North East Link Program which will fix the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network, take 15,000 trucks off local roads and reduce travel times by up to 35 minutes. North East Link will also complete the Ring Road in Greensborough and build more than 34km of walking and cycling paths.
