Designs and images have been released of the new soccer facilities at Templestowe Road that will benefit Bulleen residents and hundreds of local soccer players, as part of North East Link Program’s ongoing investment in local sport.
The new sports precinct will feature 3 soccer fields, including 1 synthetic pitch, as well as a pavilion with all-inclusive changerooms and facilities, a 176-space car park, and pedestrian and cycling connections to the Yarra River.
Development Victoria will manage the delivery of the project at 27-59 Templestowe Road, the site of the former Bulleen Golf Driving Range, with 2Construct selected as construction contractor while Manningham Council will manage usage of the new facilities by local clubs and the broader community.
Construction will begin early this year, with the soccer fields expected to be ready for play in 2024, to help ensure local sports clubs continue to thrive while significant North East Link construction is underway at Bulleen Park.
The new Templestowe Road facilities are in addition to an initial $68 million investment by North East Link Program into local sports upgrades, which has already provided upgrades across Melbourne’s north-east including at Ford Park, Binnak Park, and Veneto Club.
