Photo 2022 International Festival of Photography is a visual arts biennial taking place in galleries and public spaces across Melbourne and regional Victoria from 29 April to 22 May 2022.
The Metro Tunnel Creative Program has partnered with Photo 2022 to present work by 5 local and international artists, displayed on construction hoardings at 3 sites:
- Jenny Lewis: One Hundred Years (Barry Street, Parkville)
- Thandiwe Muriu: Camo (Scott Alley)
- Denisse Ariana Pérez: Street Still Life (Franklin Street frames)
- Eamonn Doyle: i (Franklin Street frames)
- Sarah Pannell: The People are the Times (Franklin Street frames)
With the help of local photographers – amateur, hobbyists and professionals – the Metro Tunnel Creative Program has created 101 Victorians, a community participation project inspired by Jenny Lewis’ One Hundred Years series. The images complement Lewis’ work and celebrate the extraordinary diversity of the Victorian community.
