North East Community Fund – Greener North East grants

Eight local community groups and organisations have received more than $35,000 in grants for tree planting and other local greening initiatives through a Greener North East round of the North East Community Fund.

Greener North East vouchers

Schools, kindergartens and early learning centres near North East Link tunnelling works have been gifted $50,000 of Greener North East Vouchers to support more green spaces.

More than 20 local schools and early learning centres joined the program in 2022, planting new trees and plants from Knoxbrooke Nursery.

Knoxbrooke Nursery (formally Yarra View Bushland Nursery) is the largest social enterprise nursery in Australia and employs 85+ adults with diverse abilities.
