We are thrilled to announce the successful recipients for the Greener North East grants round.

Neighbourhood Centre in Greenhills Inc.	Greenhills Garden Tool Library	Establish a Garden Tool Library which will be a shared resource for local community members, gardening and habitat group initiatives to utilise. The Garden Tool Library will enable individuals and groups to have the opportunity to access, borrow, use equipment and hand tools to maintain pride in the shared green spaces.	$5,000 ex GST
The Salt Foundation	Eco-therapy Project	Run a series of workshops at Nangak Tamboree Wildlife Sanctuary for beneficiaries of The Salt Foundation to learn and experience land management and indigenous plant growing. The workshops will teach habitat building, planting indigenous species for wildlife and the art of plant propagation. Participants will learn how to build nest boxes to redeploy in their own neighbourhood.	$4,784 ex GST

Manningham Toy Library Inc.	Manningham Toy Library Garden Refresh	Revitalise and beautify the outdoor space at the Manningham Toy Library by planting native plants, improving play area, redoing brush fences for safety and enhancing accessibility.	$531 ex GST
Parents & Friends Association - Balwyn North Primary School	Balwyn North Primary School (BNPS) Carbon Sequestration Project	Plant trees to offset the carbon dioxide emissions from cars that drop off and pick up students around the vicinity of the school.	$5,000 ex GST
The Veggie Empire Inc.	Grassy Woodlands Rehabilitation in Greensborough	Embark on a transformative journey to enhance, rehabilitate and revitalise vegetation on the community farm, Grassy Woodlands. Indigenous tube stock will be purchased and planted in designated areas and the native species maintained, following clearing of invasive species.	$5,000 ex GST
Friends of Apollo Parkways (FoAP)	Transforming Parks Enhancing Lives	Enhance, upgrade & increase the useability of the Civic Drive recreation space that is situated within 50 metres from the Greensborough Bypass. Native trees will be planted to encourage bird life & provide a restful contemplative space for visitors & residents.	$5,000 ex GST
Cultivating Community Inc.	Grow, Cook and Circle Back	Establish a Garden Tool Library which will be a shared resource for local community members, gardening and habitat group initiatives to utilise. The Garden Tool Library will enable individuals and groups to have the opportunity to access, borrow, use equipment and hand tools to maintain pride in the shared green spaces	$5,000 ex GST
Waratah Special Developmental School	Accessible planting and gardening	Create raised garden beds for accessible gardening to those people, students and local volunteers, who have mobility issues. Waratah Special Developmental School have an area allocated for this purpose.	$5,000 ex GST
