Painted Hills Road pedestrian and bus stop changes
Local bus stop changes
When we reopen Painted Hills Road,bus routes 388 and 389 will revert to their original routes.The bus stop on Bridge Inn Road at Lexington Avenue will reopen and the bus stop at Altitude Drive on Bassetts Road will revert to servicing bus route 381 only.
Temporary pedestrian detour
Pedestrian access to Painted Hills Road and Independence Boulevard will be maintained. A signalised pedestrian crossing will remain in place so that pedestrians can safely cross Bridge Inn Road while we complete our works. Vantage Point Boulevard intersection pedestrian and bus stop changes
Local bus stop changes
When we reopen Vantage Point Boulevard at Bridge Inn Road, we’ll permanently reinstate bus stops 51031 on Bridge Inn Road, near Vantage Point Boulevard, and 48492 on Bassetts Road, near Bridge Inn Road. Bus stop 51716 will be temporarily relocated to the entrance of Ivanhoe Grammar School.
Temporary pedestrian detour
Pedestrian access to Bassetts Road, Vantage Point Boulevard and the nearest bus stops will be maintained. A signalised pedestrian crossing will remain in place so that pedestrians can safely cross Bridge Inn Road while we complete our works.

Side road closures
To safely build the new turning lanes and kerbs on Bridge Inn Road, we’ve temporarily closed some local roads at Bridge Inn Road:
- Station Road will be closed until mid 2024. Detours via Plenty Road
- College Road and Lexington Avenue will be closed until mid 2024. Detours via Bassetts Road.
