Project highlights
Better ways to cycle in the area: We’ve added 2kms of new on‑road bike lanes to Epping Road (between Memorial Ave and Lyndarum Drive).
Improved active transport: The new walking and cycling paths on both sides of Epping Road between Lyndarum Drive and Craigieburn Road East.
Improved road safety: The upgrade includes new safety features such as barriers in the centre median and along the roadside to help keep everyone safe.
Rebuilding & conserving local heritage: We relocated, rebuilt and restored the Wollert Methodist Church to Carome Homestead in Mernda.
Reconnecting with local heritage: We’ve rebuilt dry stone walls at various locations along Epping Road helping preserve important local heritage & the area’s history.
Community Engagement: Throughout the project, we connected with local schools, kindergartens and residents through pop-up sessions and community events.
