De Rossi Boulevard and Epping Road intersection works
To prepare for the intersection upgrade, there will be lane closures, holds in traffic and reduced speed limits at the intersection of Epping Road and De Rossi Boulevard from 7am to 6pm, Wednesday 15 January 2025 while we install temporary barriers and adjust traffic lights.
Traffic controllers will be in place to guide motorists through the area, and delays of up to 20 minutes are expected during peak times.
We encourage you to plan your journey and allow extra time when travelling through the area.
From Wednesday 15 January until late April 2025, we’ll close De Rossi Boulevard at Epping Road so we can safely upgrade the intersection and build new lanes. We’ll also close Sunfield Drive at De Rossi Boulevard and the eastbound lane of De Rossi Boulevard (east of Highpark Drive).
During this time, we’ll:
- upgrade existing lanes, kerbs and medians
- install drainage and a new traffic island
- build new lanes, walking and cycling paths and on-road bicycle lanes
- add new car parking spaces and street lighting.
While we complete these works, access will be maintained via Linfield Drive and delays of up to 5 minutes are expected.
Access to Wollert Primary School, Kirrip Community Centre and private properties, including Lifestyle Lyndarum will be maintained at all times.
To make it easier to drop off and pick up students at Wollert Primary School, drivers should use Highpark Drive instead of De Rossi Boulevard during this time.
