Overview
The Ison Road Extension connects with the overpass, providing a new link to Geelong Road and the Princes Freeway interchange in Werribee.
The Ison Road extension, delivered by Big Build Roads on behalf of Wyndham City Council, provides a 1.3km, four-lane road between the overpass and an upgraded intersection of Geelong Road and Werribee Main Road.
The Ison Road link also includes a new walking and cycling path connecting to existing paths on Ferntree Drive in King’s Leigh Estate and Geelong Road to boost local active transport opportunities.
Two bus bays have also been built near the upgraded intersection to cater for future public transport routes in Wyndham.
Early works began in January 2025, and drivers can now use the new road.
