Overview
The Ison Road Extension will connect with the overpass, currently under construction, to provide a new link to Geelong Road and the Princes Freeway interchange in Werribee.
The extension project, being delivered on behalf of Wyndham City Council, will build a 1.3km, four-lane road between the overpass and an upgraded intersection of Geelong and Wests roads.
The Ison Road link will also include a new walking and cycling path connecting to existing paths on Ferntree Drive in King’s Leigh Estate and Geelong Road to boost local active transport opportunities.
Two bus bays will also be built near the upgraded intersection to cater for future public transport routes in Wyndham’s west.
Early works began in January 2025. Drivers will be able to use the new link by the end of 2026.
