Overview
We’re planning for an upgrade to the Ringwood-Warrandyte Road, Croydon Road, Husseys Lane and Brumbys Road intersection in Warrandyte South.
The upgrade aims to cut congestion and boost safety for the 8,000 vehicles that drive through the intersection every day.

Planning update
Planning work is underway and key activities include:
- developing a design
- traffic analysis and modelling, to better understand the future growth of the area and the demand this will place on the road network
- on-site investigations to test ground conditions and map utility services
- environmental investigations to understand flora, fauna and tree species.
Planning work will be used to inform government decisions on future funding. We expect our initial planning work will be complete in 2026.
Technical investigations
To help inform our planning, we’ll complete roadside technical investigations. At times, we may need to implement traffic control measures, including temporary lane closures, stop/slow traffic and reduced speeds. We’ll keep traffic disruption to a minimum and avoid busy periods, where possible.
