  • Skill development: complete TTSA and SWIRC certificates with culturally trained staff at Metro Academy.
  • Employer pitching sessions: opportunity to meet industry employers and test their pitch.

Eligibility

To participate in the program, it is important participants:

  • have an interest in transport and transport infrastructure industry
  • have an open and positive attitude
  • are job ready with an up-to-date resume
  • have access to Personal Protective Equipment (Hi-vis, work boots, gloves, safety goggles, and hard hat)
  • are willing to travel early to training venues as required.

Who can apply

  • Participants: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals in the industry looking to embrace real career opportunities and are currently engaged with an employment service.
  • Industry employers: employers interested in supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workers to progress, achieve their full potential, enhancing self-determination and cultural diversity in the workforce.
