We’ve started the process of selecting a contractor to build the upgrade. We expect to award the contract by mid-2025 and start construction in the second half of the year.
Over the next 6 months, we’ll work with our preferred contractor to finalise the project’s designs and construction plans.
You may see us conducting site investigations on the road or behind the kerbs. These investigations give us important information to inform our designs and construction plans, such as:
- the type and precise location of utility services above and below the ground
- the condition of the ground
- the quality of the existing road surface
- mapping man-made and natural features above ground.
