What’s been happening
In September, we’ll finish major works at the intersection, laying asphalt, applying the permanent linemarking, removing safety barriers, and switching on the new traffic signals. The new intersection will open to traffic on Friday 25 September.

Thompsons Road
We’ll close the eastbound lanes on Thompsons Road between Wheelers Park Drive and Berwick-Cranbourne Road on Monday 7 September and Tuesday 8 September, 7am to 5pm each day.
Detours in place via William Thwaites Boulevard and Glasscocks Road.
Thompsons Road remains closed in both directions between Berwick-Cranbourne Road and Laker Boulevard/Matterhorn Drive until 8pm, Friday 18 September.
Detours in place via Matterhorn Drive and Hamersley Drive.
Thompsons Road and Berwick-Cranbourne Road intersection
We’ll close the Thompsons Road and Berwick-Cranbourne Road intersection from 8pm, Friday 18 September to 11.59pm, Thursday 24 September.
Detours in place via:
- Linsell Boulevard, Narre Warren-Cranbourne Road and Greaves Road
- Bells Road, Hardys Road and Grices Road.
