Utility and ground investigations
At times in April, we’ll have a small team on-site at the intersection completing early investigation works, including locating underground utility services, land surveying, drilling small holes into the road to analyse the ground composition.
Stockpiling and temporary site compound setup
Before major works start, we’ll build a temporary site compound on the northeast corner of the intersection. See the map below for more information.
In preparation for this, we’ll start delivering and storing recycled crushed rock on this land and park a small caravan to provide basic amenities for our team.
Construction impacts
If you live close to the intersection, you may experience minor noise from our trucks as they deliver the crushed rock. To minimise impact, we’ve scheduled this work to occur on weekdays between 7am and 5pm.
We’ll have traffic management in place to keep drivers and our crews safe, and speeds through the intersection will be reduced to 40km per hour. Please allow an additional 5 minutes of travel time.
We’ll continue to provide you with updates and information as we move towards construction in mid-2025.
