Thompsons Road and Berwick-Cranbourne Road Intersection Upgrade

Upgrading the Thompsons Road and Berwick-Cranbourne Road intersection in Clyde North to ease congestion and make journeys safer and more reliable.

We’re upgrading the intersection of Thompsons Road and Berwick-Cranbourne Road in Clyde North to reduce travel times, improve safety and cater for the area’s rapidly growing population. Planning work is nearing completion with construction expected to start mid-2025.

The upgrade builds on other Victorian Big Build projects completed in the south east in recent years, including the Narre Warren-Cranbourne Road, Thompsons Road, Western Port Highway, Hall Road and Lathams Road upgrades. Together these projects are transforming Melbourne’s rapidly expanding south east region, providing better road connections and faster travel times to residential, industrial, education and health precincts.

Work has also started on the Clyde Road Upgrade between Enterprise Avenue and Bemersyde Drive, further improving capacity and reducing congestion in this key growth area.
