Construction on the 12 level crossing upgrades on the Warrnambool Line is now complete.

We’ve installed boom gates, bells, flashing lights and improved train detection technology at the crossings, located along the line from Hunts Road in Moriac to Station Road in Garvoc.

The following 12 level crossings have been upgraded to full protection:

• Hunts Road, Moriac
• Waltons Road, Buckley
• Buckley South Road, Buckley
• Armytage Road, Winchelsea
• Ayreys Reserve Road, Birregurra
• Bourkes Road, Warncoort
• Deans Creek Road, Colac
• Station Road, Pirron Yallock
• Swan Marsh-Stonyford Road, Swan Marsh
• Oswells Road, Boorcan
• Coyles Road, Terang
• Station Road, Garvoc.

The upgraded level crossings have made the Warrnambool Line safer for motorists, pedestrians and train passengers and is the latest step towards better train services for Victoria’s southwest.

Construction on the level crossing upgrades was delivered by V/Line on behalf of the Regional Rail Revival.
