North East Link is changing the way people move around Melbourne.

As part of Victoria’s Big Build, we’re delivering 3 major road projects. The 6.5km North East Link tunnels from Watsonia to Bulleen will fix the missing link in our city’s freeway network. Upgrades to the Eastern Freeway and M80 Ring Road will include new lanes, smart technology and a seamless connection to the North East Link tunnels. Together these projects will take 15,000 trucks off local roads a day and reduce travel times by up to 35 minutes.

Local suppliers and contractors not part of a consortium directly tendering for the North East Link can register their details on the ICN Gateway.

These details will then be passed on to those delivering and operating the road and who will seek to connect with local businesses in building the project.

Procurement for North East Link is supported by the Victorian Government’s Local Jobs First Policy, which ensures that small and medium size enterprises are given a full and fair opportunity to compete for both large and small government contracts.

As part of the Local Jobs First Policy, 10% of total work hours will be done by apprentices, trainees or cadets.
