From August, we’ve started realigning the existing north-facing freeway entry and exit ramps on Watson Street and connecting them to the new interchange. We've also reopened the walking and cycling path on Watson Street.
What we’re doing and when
From 9pm, Monday 3 August until mid-November, we'll close both north-facing freeway ramps on Watson Street while we build new connections to the upgraded intersections. During the closure, we'll:
install drainage
build new kerbs and pavement
install traffic signals and street lighting
complete landscaping and signage.
Current and upcoming works
Activities may generate noise, dust and vibration. We'll monitor impacts and take steps where possible to minimise disruption to nearby residents and businesses.
We'll maintain access to homes and businesses throughout these works.
Works are weather dependent. If we need to reschedule these activities, we'll let you know in advance.
