Benefits
The Dunnings and Palmers Road Upgrade has delivered better connections to the Princes Freeway, including driving, cycling and walking benefits. These include:
- a more reliable link from Point Cook to the Princes Freeway
- removing bottlenecks, easing pressure on nearby roads and improving traffic flow
- better and safer access to Williams Landing train station and Werribee
- more reliable buses with a dedicated lane and priority at intersections
- new walking and cycling connections along Dunnings Road and Palmers Road and to Williams Landing Station.
Reasons for the upgrade
More than 18,000 cars and trucks use Dunnings Road and Palmers Road every day.
If you live or work in the growing suburbs of Point Cook, Sanctuary Lakes or Featherbrook, these roads are important connectors for you to access the Princes Freeway, Williams Landing train station and Werribee town centre.
This upgrade makes traffic and public transport flow better, so you can get to where you need to be sooner and safer.
