Construction snapshot for July 2024

Construction works within the Domain precinct during July will include:

• reinstatement works on Domain Road and construction of a new tram and bus stop
• Edmund Herring Oval site facilities demolition
• station entrance construction
• asphalting, median works and construction of footpaths
• South African Soldiers’ Memorial reinstatement
• station fit out.

Traffic and transport impacts

St Kilda Road

• There will be overnight closures of St Kilda Road_(PDF, 296.2 KB) in July to remove barriers, asphalt and linemark.

Oversized deliveries

• While most deliveries to the Anzac Station site will occur during normal hours, some deliveries to and from site that are classified as ‘oversized’ will be required outside of normal working hours and overnight. Whenever oversized deliveries are expected overnight, crews will be reminded of noise requirements on site.

Shrine of Remembrance - pedestrian access

• The St Kilda Road footpath leading to the Cobbers sculpture and the Macpherson Robertson Fountain will be closed in July to build the legacy footpath. A pedestrian detour will be in place during these works.
