The 4 level crossings at Oakover Road, Bell Street, Cramer Street and Murray Road in Preston have been removed.
We have constructed the city-bound rail bridge over the roads on the Mernda Line and construction of the Mernda-bound bridge and new stations is currently underway.
The Mernda Line is currently operating on a single track between Regent and Thornbury stations while we work on the second rail bridge and new stations at Bell and Preston.
The Mernda-bound bridge and new stations will be open in early September and the team will continue to put the finishing touches on the station buildings and the new open space underneath the 2km rail bridge.
